The city of Tallahassee hosted a pre-bid conference for the construction of a proposed veterans outpatient clinic.
The conference was held in the city commission chambers. More than 200 people showed up looking to find out how they can pitch their business.
"They're going through the bid process and that's what's happening today, they're doing a pre-bid conference to eventually select the developer who will build the facility," said Michael Parker, the director of economic development for the city of Tallahassee.
The project will last more than two decades, so the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is looking for a stable business to handle the job.
