Tallahassee - Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater is bringing his Operation S.A.F.E. (Stop Adult Financial Exploitation) initiative and Be Scam Smart workshops to The Villages. These workshops will provide information to seniors, their family and caregivers to help inform, empower and protect them from financial scams and fraud.

The workshops will be held today, February, 6, at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. at the Eisenhower Recreation Center at 3560 Buena Vista Boulevard in The Villages. The workshops will teach seniors about scams such as fake lotteries and charitable donation scams, and how these scams work.
