Volunteers working with Knight Creative Communities Institute, Business Leaders, Elected Officials and City and County Leaders will unveil plans for a new space in the community designed to engage the senses and imagination; Discovery at Cascades Park. Visitors of all ages can enjoy approximately 7,000 square-feet of natural, interactive, and recreational features that promote outdoor activity and incorporate educational aspects.
The project resulted from the efforts and research conducted earlier this year by the KCCI Cultivate Cascades Team and is funded by the private sector.
Renderings and images of the playscape and amenity logo will be debuted. Interviews can also be conducted with additional attendees including playscape designer, Meghan Mick, with From the Ground Up, area school children who provided design input for the space and sponsors of the project.
