It may be hot outside, but a local church group withstands the heat to help the homeless.
Members of Connections Church got together to host a garage sale for the homeless earlier Saturday.
They had various items up for sale, clothes, furniture and more.
The church is also mostly made up of homeless people. Their focus is to serve those in need and help them get back on their feet.
"We do provide a Sunday service, provide breakfast on Sunday morning. But, in addition we provide identification assistance, we help with prescription needs," said Reverend Jeff Franck.
Connections has been running since last June. They welcome any one to join.
