TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- ClearAudit, an extension of ClearBallot, is a new automated ballot audit system that allows a clear-cut way to count everyone's votes. In a demonstration with the Leon County Canvassing Board Wednesday, they resolved nine ballots that weren't counted because the current system couldn't read them because of imperfections like a line or a tear in the ballot.
"We've actually now, done an automated, 100% audit of every voters ballot in every race and that's quite frankly, unheard of," said Ion Sancho, Leon County Supervisor of Elections. "And we've actually done it cheaper, within fewer employees than if we'd done it manually."
