Tallahassee, FL - We asked the FSU legend what was going to be the hardest thing this weekend: driving something down the middle of the fairway or planting the spear at midfield tomorrow?
"Plantin' that dad gum spear," laughed Bowden. "I'm always afraid it won't stick up."
Coach Bowden hit the Seminole Golf Course Friday morning. Dozens of alumni, boosters and fans also came out to catch up with the legend.
For a man who's almost 84 years old, he sure knows how to get up and down a golf course.
"If you're in good health it doesn't make no difference how old you are and I've been blessed with good health."
For those playing along side the former coach, it's an opportunity they'll cherish for sometime.
"It's a privilege," said Dave Borden. "I mean you read about the guy you see him. It's a privilege to be out here with him."
