Valdosta, GA - Just about a week before the Georgia Primary Election Runoff, Congressman Jack Kingston, made a stop in Valdosta.

The Congressman is running for U.S. Senate after over 20 years in the House. During his stop, he met with represenatives from Moody Air Force Base, South Georgia Medical Center, and local government. He says he feels optimistic about next Tuesday's runoff... as long as there is a strong voter turn out in South Georgia.

"I think that if you gave most candidates a pop quiz, they would not be able to tell you the mascot for Valdosta State, the airplanes that are flown out of Moody, or what Wild Adventures is. They do not know our area as well. They haven't spent the time down here", Kingston says.

The Georgia Primary Runoff will be held next Tuesday. Early voting will continue this week.
