Counting Leon County's Homeless

By  |

Leon County, FL - Volunteers will be hitting the streets today to count Leon County's homeless.

More than 80 volunteers had to undergo about three hours worth of training on the Big Bend Homeless Coalition's campus. They'll be conducting the annual homeless census, also known as the 'Point-in-Time Count Survey,' for the next few days.

Last year, surveyors counted more than 700 homeless in Leon County in just one day.
