ATLANTA (AP) -- The Georgia Department of Driver Services plans to offer a free course for people seeking to become commercial driver's license instructors.
The agency says its regulatory compliance division will offer a Commercial Driver License Instructor Training Class for customers who have applied to be instructors. The class is meant to provide additional guidance as applicants prepare for the final exam.
Department Commissioner Rob Mikell says the class is a chance for new and existing instructors to learn more about the regulations governing the program, traffic law, commercial general knowledge and new legislation.
The course is offered free of charge at the administrative offices in Conyers. It will typically be held on the first and third Thursdays of the month.
