Gadsden County - A stone crab dinner with all the trimmings was served up Friday night to raise money for Ronald McDonald House.

The charity helps families who travel for medical care by giving them a place to stay so they can be near their loved one for little or no cost.

This annual fundraiser raises the majority of the operating funds for the house.

"We've exceeded our goal of over 100 people tonight from what we normally do, we've been involved with this since the 90's," said event co-chair, Gary Stout..

"It's wonderful to see these families come that are in need, in crisis, have a place to come, have a warm meal in a cozy home, that is a home away from home," said event co-chair, Joan Stout.

They hoped to raise more than $100,000.
