Crash Leaves Pedestrian in Critical Condition

Leon County, Florida- September 2, 2012

An evening crash left a pedestrian in critical condition.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Patricia Walker, 32, was traveling south on State Road 263 (Capital Circle NW) approaching the intersection of Village Way around 10pm Saturday.

Zackary Kiltz, 22, was attempting to cross SR-263 from the west shoulder to the east shoulder. Kiltz walked into the roadway into the path of Walker's 2003 Hyundai.

FHP says Walker was unable to avoid Kiltz and she hit Kiltz.

Walker, the driver, had no injuries, according to FHP. She was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. According to the report, alcohol was not related to the crash.

The crash report says Kitlz was also taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in critical condition. A toxicology report is pending.

The FHP was assisted on scene by the LCSO, Leon EMS, and the Tallahassee Fire Department.
