A state-wide organization is making a push to educate new drivers about safety on the road.
The florida association of dui programs launched its "be ready for the road ahead" campaign.
It addresses three major factors associated with vehicle crashes involving teens.
Sue Holly, a woman who has been impacted by impaired driving spoke the audience.
"We also know that the risk of motor vehicle crashes is higher among 15 to 20 year olds than any other age group. Per miles driven drivers in this age group are three times more likely to be involved in a traffic crash."
The campaign will run for one year with a billboard reminding drivers to be safe behind the wheel.
