DUI Strike Force Conducting Roadside Sobriety Checkpoints

Press Release: Leon County Sheriff's Office

On Thursday, March 14, 2013, the Leon County DUI Strike Force will conduct a Comprehensive Roadside Sobriety Checkpoint in the 1300 block of Timberlane Road.

The Comprehensive Roadside Sobriety Checkpoint will start at 11:00 PM and conclude at 01:00AM on March 15, 2013. Both eastbound and westbound traffic will be stopped.

Deputies from LCSO and Officers from TPD and FSUPD will be checking drivers for signs of impairment while looking for tag or license violations, seat belt violations and verifying vehicle insurance requirements.

These efforts are focused at reducing impaired driving while ensuring that vehicles are being safely operated in our community.
