Tallahassee FL- The Snow Queen took over an Irish town today! It was all part of the Killearn Performing Arts and Tallahassee'S Irish Step Dancers 'The Snow Queen' performance.

For eight years the ensemble has taken to the stage here in Tallahassee TO perform different variations of The Snow Queen. This two hour performance was bigger than ever before with sixty five performers, Dancing styles from modern to Irish Step.

This year the group created a new theme for the dance that they say will inspire the audience. As choreographer, David Jones explains, "In this particular story the boy gets locked in a castle and his fiance has to come and rescue him. Anyone with any power is female. So we wanted to do that kind of a thing sort of as an empowerment for girls to say 'yeah I don't have to sit around and wait for a man to come save me."

The dancers ranged from all ages---from seven to seventy two! The group will also be performing at the Quincy Music Theater on January 11th at 7:00 P.M.
