Bainbridge, GA - Decatur County deputies were recognized for helping officers in Florida take down suspects in a copper theft ring.
Friday, about 20 law enforcement officers from Florida and Georgia met at the Decatur County Sheriff's Office to discuss the case.
Authorities say they suspect the copper theft ring expands from South Florida to Virginia.
A few weeks ago, Decatur County deputies help arrest four men wanted from Escambia County.
Investigator Cheryl Roberts and Investigator Rio Walton were awarded during Friday's meeting for that bust. INV Roberts says, "Just doing our job. We helped out. We know that we get that reciprocation in other places. So, it's nice that we can all work together and help each other get that done. It was very nice for them to notice us and recognize us."
