Decatur County Sheriff Becomes Georgia Sheriff's Association President

Decatur County, GA - Sheriff Wiley Griffin is now adding another duty on top of serving as the Sheriff of Decatur County.

Sheriff Griffin was sworn in as the 2014-2015 Georgia Sheriff's Association President. Sheriff Griffin said as president of the GSA he will work with the Georgia Legislature and this year they'll have tough issue to tackle.

"Medical marijuana is going to be a hot subject this year and of course the Georgia Sheriff's Association and Georgia Sheriff's we're definitely are not for legalizing marijuana. The medical marijuana bill is a bill that we're going to have to look at and see what's best for our citizens," said Sheriff Griffin.

Sheriff Griffin has served as the Decatur County Sheriff since 1999.
