Dunn, Habitat Help New Homeowner

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. 2-12-13

Habitat For Humanity and former FSU running back Warrick Dunn teamed up to help one family put a roof over their heads.

Fighting back tears, Bridgette Joseph received the keys to her new home on Tuesday from former Seminole Warrick Dunn.

"I never expected this," said Joseph. "This is a wonderful blessing for me and my family and I'm just very thankful."

Habitat For Humanity built the $90,000 home that includes rooms for all three of her children, Dante, DaVonte and Daija.

To truly give them a fresh start of home ownership," said Dunn. "I think for me I can relate to it. I understand it.

Through Dunn's charities, the new home was furnished with everything a family needs including a stocked pantry.

"It's like a fairy tale like I'm in dream land cause you know, I never expected it, never imagined it," Joseph added. "I mean they thought about every single thing."

Dunn also donated $5,000 as a down payment on the home for Joseph and her family.
