Education Leaders Hope To Extend Pre-K Days

Valdosta, GA - Georgia education leaders want to return the state's Pre-Kindergarten program to a 180 day school year.

The schedule had been cut by 20 days to 160 last year to help ensure long-term viability. If lawmakers go for it, Pre-K will be back to 180 days for the school year that starts in August.

More than 84,000 four year olds attend Pre-K in Georgia.
