Elderly Woman in Single Vehicle Accident in Jefferson County

Jefferson County, FL -- May 20, 2012

Barbara Tharpe, 66 was traveling eastbound on Tram Road in a 2004 Ford SUV. Tharpe says she thought she saw another vehicle in her lane and steered to the left. There was nothing n her lane and Tharpe over-corrected the vehicle. The SUV traveled on to the north shoulder then back across tram road onto the south shoulder. The vehicle overturned and struck a utility pole. The vehicle came to rest on it's top.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and EMS assisted FHP on scene.
