Quitman, Georgia- August 1, 2012

Colony Bank of Quitman and the Citizens National Bank of Quitman have joined together to support the Brooks County High School Student Leadership Academy. Both companies have decided to purchase an electronic billboard which highlights the academy.

The leadership academy has already raised money through a plant sale last Spring, cleaning up the Brooks County Courthouse landscaping and most recently volunteering their time to assist Family Connections with sorting and dividing school supplies.

The academy is to develop and encourage leadership amongst its Juniors and Seniors at Brooks County High School. It is an initiative brought forth by the School Improvement Grant (SIG) in partnership with Wiregrass Georgia Technical College.
