Tallahassee is at the top of the list when it comes to real estate in Florida.
That's according to local real estate analysts who say based on statewide and national data, Florida's capital city has the best market in the sunshine state.
In 2004, 96% of houses for sale were actually sold in Leon County, whereas in 2010, only 9% were sold.
But, at the end of last year, a higher increase of sales indicates our local housing market is improving.
Experts say if you are looking to purchase a home, now is the best time to buy.
"There's a good supply of homes out there, a lot to choose from, but you need to consider another impact, and that is the interest rates. A lot of you have been sitting by the sides, and waiting. Well, interest rates are creeping up so you need to get out there and start getting a home now before it goes up higher," said Tallahassee Real Estate Analyst Don Pickett.
Florida Real Estate experts say some of the worst markets in the state include Orlando and other areas of south Florida.
