FAMU J-Students Showcase Documentaries

Tallahassee, FL-December 8, 2012

FAMU Journalism students got a chance to show off their work Saturday.

Students submitted their documentaries for the University's bi-annual J-School Journal Revue.

This is the sixth year the University has held the event.

Students pitched their story ideas at the beginning of the semester. Those ideas were then whittled down to a select few.

"You get to see the viewpoints, the point of view of young people because a lot of times we do not get to see their point of view on whatever the topics is," says FAMU Professor Kenneth Jones.

Five documentaries were showcased at this semester's Revue.
They included subjects like President Barack Obama, Immigrants, African Americans and swimming, Hazing, and Body Image.
