FAMU Trustees Approve Firm for President Search

FAMU trustees have agreed on a search firm to help in the search for a new university president.

The FAMU Board of Trustees approved the search committee's recommendation to enter into negotiations with Greenwood/Asher and Associates.

The firm would lead the search for a new president at FAMU.

Former president Dr. James Ammons resigned in the wake of the hazing death of drum major Robert Champion last November.

Also in Thursday's board of trustees meeting, the board chose a construction company to build a new 800-bed residence hall.
