Tallahassee, FL - The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is asking for the public’s assistance concerning the investigation into the murder of 19-year-old Reginald Ward from the Tallahassee-Quincy area in north Florida.
His body was found floating in the Suwannee River near the Interstate 10 bridge, near Live Oak, in September 1983, but went unidentified until this year, when an FDLE Special Agent re-ran Reginald’s fingerprints through the national system and came up with a hit.
Investigators have hopes of finding Reginald’s killer if more can be learned about what Reginald was doing in the last year of his life, from September 1982 to September 1983. Any tips or information on this case can be called in to 386-330-2846 or 386-330-2840.
Reginald’s case is the first to be posted on FDLE’s Facebook page as part of the BOLO series. As part of BOLO (be on the lookout), each Wednesday, cases will be highlighted aimed at developing information on cold cases, missing persons investigations and sexual predators who have absconded.
