The biggest science event in Tallahassee is this Saturday, when the MagLab and three of its science-lab neighbors host Open Houses from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There will be more than 100 demonstrations, encounters, displays, tours etc. going on.
At the MagLab, you just grab an event-map, choose the ones that look the most interesting to you, and head off.
We've got someone making candy the same way as superconducting wire, 3D printers, a simulated cave you can crawl through, levitation, cryogenic experiments, Einstein's ice cream, you name it.
And don’t worry about fitting lunch into your day. Food trucks will be in the Mag Lab’s front parking lot.
The event is free, although a donated canned good for the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Big Bend is much appreciated.
