In advance of Veterans Day, county officials are recognizing local groups that help U.S. troops and veterans.
The Leon County Commission passed an honorary resolution to commend the support provided to student and civilian veterans by the FSU chapters of the Collegiate Veterans Association and the "Thank A Soldier Organization."
Commissioner Jane Sauls, who sponsored the resolution, presented it Thursday morning.
Members say it's gratifying to be recognized for the work they do that let troops and veterans know they're appreciated.
