Tallahassee FL- A number two B.C.S ranking for the FSU football team-- not too shabby. It's good news for local businesses thriving on the noles' playing well.
Garnet and Gold Marketing Manager Austin Moore explained, "The better the team does the better we do better. Even one loss can severely effect our sales." With Saturday's huge win against Clemson and a great season so far-- FSU fans are elated. FSU merchandise sales seem to be doing just as well.
"Over this past weekend we had over 200 orders on the internet from you know since the Clemson game-- which is really high for us and we expect it to increase," explained Moore.
One Florida State Student, Sami Sosa, "When there is a blow out game like this and so many more people are going to want to go to the next game like there is going to be more of a variety of clothes to choose from so I think that's going to help the businesses."
This weekend tickets are sold out which means more than 84,000 people will be packed in Doak Campbell Stadium. Which means more fans lining up for the latest FSU merchandise.
Moore said, "We expect this weekend to be really good especially with Bowden coming back and the win at Celmson in death valley...Its just all the stars are aligning for a good season for the team and for us."
There is a certain jersey Noles fans won't be able to get their hands on. nike is no longer making the number five FSU jersey.
