The 2013 FSU football team is turning people into believers. Five games into the season, they are undefeated and stomped on the Maryland Terrapins this weekend in a match-up that was expected to be closer.
Austin Moore is the marketing coordinator for Garnet & Gold Apparel store in Tallahassee. He says they haven't seen as much fan excitement in a season as they have this year.
"Even just the look on their faces, they are so pumped," he said.
"We've just had more customers than normal. Obviously whenever the team does better, we do a little bit better."
Florida State beat Maryland by an impressive 63-0 and there were more than 70,000 fans in the stadium to witness it.
"Anytime the other team [is on] offense, you can't hear anything, because everyone's freaking out just making sure they can't even focus on what they're doing. It's just unbelievable for me that we have such a great fan base," said Joshua Shelton, an FSU football fan and student.
Starting QB Jameis Winston has been lighting it up and is a big reason for much of the excitement.
"This season is definitely different because of our quarterback and he has just been incredible," Moore said.
"It's tough to compare this to any previous season so far."
The Noles have a bye week right now and then will play their next opponent the Clemson Tigers.
But, when it comes to ticket sales at Doak Campbell Stadium, only 1,500 remain for the game against Miami.
