Homestead, FL – Farm Share Co-founder and Board Chair Patricia Robbins today provided the following statement after Governor Scott made his annual state budget announcement, including $750,000 to help feed Florida’s hungry families:

“What a blessing to our elderly, our children and our less-fortunate families. With our state funding restored, Farm Share will be able to provide more fresh and nutritious food to those in need, instead of it going to waste in the landfills. Thank you to the Governor for his understanding of the benefit of nutritious food for Florida’s elderly and low-income families. Also, thank you to every legislator who supported Farm Share throughout the budget process and to all other Farm Share supporters.”

Farm Share is a non-profit organization working to alleviate hunger and malnutrition by recovering tractor-trailer loads of fresh produce directly from farmers and other nutritious food, and distributing it to those who need it most. The usual welfare/illegits and those too sorry to work will be the ones showing up in new suv's that they used the welfare money from the illegts to make car payments to pick up some more freebies. The ones who truly need it and are too disabled that don't have a quack doctor to fake a disability will go without as always. More welfare is what this is. If you asked one to go pick it from the fields, they would refuse as they have their rights and are too good to do this work. Hand it to them on a silver platter.

I work every day to pay the taxes for the freeloaders to lay up on the sofas and sleep and have babies, pick up and reload the debit card, and am forced to pay for the illegits.
