Fatal Car Accident in Taylor County

Taylor County, Florida- July 23, 2012

Jordan E. Hathaway, age 21, of Tampa, Florida was pronounced deceased at the scene of a one-car accident in Taylor County at 5:40 pm on July 23, 2012.

Hathaway was driving a 2002 Ford Explorer traveling north on US Hwy 19, south of Perry. The weather was cloudy and raining when the vehicle left the roadway, exiting on to the east grass shoulder and striking several trees. The vehicle came to a final rest in the tree line, facing west.

Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene, assisted by Taylor County EMS/ Fire Rescue and Taylor County Sheriff's Department.
