Man Ejected from Truck in Fatal Crash: Identity Released

Gadsden County, FL - Florida Highway Patrol Release has released the name of a man killed in Gadsden County crash yesterday evening.

FHP has named the deceased as Jimmie Michael Taylor, 54, of Greensboro, FL.

Taylor was ejected from a 1988 Chevy Silverado around 10pm yesterday evening, sustaining fatal injury.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that on 02/10/2013 at approximately 10:00pm, an adult male driving a Chevy Silverado was headed eastbound on County Road 270 (Sycamore Road) when the Silverado traveled onto the south shoulder of the roadway.

After leaving the roadway, the driver steered the Silverado to the left causing it to travel back onto the roadway.

At that time, the Silverado was steered back to the right causing it to rotate clockwise onto the south shoulder.

The Silverado began to overturn ejecting the driver.

The Silverado came to final rest in the tree line on the south shoulder of the roadway facing south just east of the final rest position of the driver.

Greensboro, FL - At least one person is dead after a crash late Sunday in Gadsden County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at Matthew Clark and Sycamore Roads near Greensboro.

FHP Troopers combed the woods where it appears a vehicle crashed.

The crash happened just after 10 p.m.

FHP isn't saying how many people were hurt at this time.

Emergency personel on scene detoured traffic while troopers collected evidence.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
