Suwannee County, FL -- January 8, 2012

Dale Staats was traveling west on Bass Road on a 2001 Harley Davidson Motorcycle, approaching a left curvature in the roadway. The driver of the motorcycle failed to negotiate the curve and traveled west onto the west grass shoulder. The vehicle's rear traveled to the right as it traveled onto the shoulder. The vehicle's right rear struck a fence post, causing the vehicle's rear to travel abruptly to the left and ejecting the driver. The motorcycle came to final rest on it's right side, facing in a westerly direction.
