UPDATED: Man Arrested in DUI Crash that Killed His Father

A man wanted in a deadly drunk driving crash is captured after nearly six months on the run.

A tip led deputies to a home on Mission Road in Tallahassee this weekend.

They arrested Craig Blocker for DUI manslaughter in the death of his own father.

Blocker will be transported back to Gadsden County to face those charges.

A man wanted for DUI manslaughter is accused in the death of his own father.

Craig Blocker is accused of driving drunk the night his car crashed into a guard rail on Shade Farm Road in Gadsden County.

The crash happened in September 2011. 50 year old Robert Blocker was killed.

Florida Highway Patrol SGT Aaron Stephens says Craig Blocker ran from the scene and denied being behind the wheel. Stephens says both a back seat passenger and DNA put him there.

FHP has been looking for Blocker since August.

Troopers say 50 year old Robert Blocker was a passenger in a car that crashed on Shade Farm Road in Quincy around 10:30 Monday morning.

FHP says the driver of the car hit a guardrail after overcorrecting.

Blocker's brother told us that the driver was the victim's 24 year old son.

Robert Blocker's funeral is scheduled for this Friday, 4:00 PM at Independent Funeral Home on East Jefferson Street in Quincy.


Gadsden County, FL -- September 19, 2011 --

A morning crash in Gadsden County claims the life of Robert Blocker, 50.

The Florida Highway Patrol says that a vehicle was traveling east on Shade Farm road, when it tried to pass another. The passing vehicle veered off onto the shoulder of the road and over corrected.

Robert Blocker, a passenger in the vehicle was taken to the hospital and died from his injuries at around there this afternoon.
