Carrabelle, FL--Like father like son, it was an all dad's day at the Big Bend Salt Water Classic in Carrabelle on Sunday morning.
"Its Father's Day what better thing to do than fish," said John Vatter, a Proud Dad.
All generations came to the 25 year old tournament to compete, from kids to adults, winners were named in each category.
"It was hard to reel in," one of the winners.
"It was rough, the big waves," said another winner.
But it didn't stop Mateo Lasarso from winning. He was the most decorated winner in the junior category.
He won second in King fish, first in Spanish Mackerel and first in Grouper.
His proud pop got to see his son win big after the three-day fishing adventure.
"Wonderful feeling, nothing better to do than fish with the whole family. especially with my father who taught me everything I know and now I get to pass it down to my son," said his proud dad.
But, all participants say that the best reward was just sharing it with dad....
"It makes me feel really close to him," said a winner.
Everyone had a chance to get a piece of the jackpot, there were $50,000 worth of prizes and combined.
