A morning fire destroys a local foster and adoption charity center.
The blaze broke out around 7:30 a.m. on Sunday at the Tallahassee Area Foster and Adoptive Parent Association Charity building.
The building is located along the 1400 block of East Indian Head Drive.
No one was injured in the fire, but firefighters say the building is a total loss.
Captain Mike Hadden with the Tallahassee Fire Department said, "We're estimating damages around $130,000 It was about a 1200 square foot structure and significant fire damage to both the inside and the roof."
The Tallahassee Area Foster and Adoptive Parent Association Charity provides resources for people who are adopting or fostering children in the area.
The building was used to provide training and store donated items such as clothing and furniture.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
