Ocala,FL- A central Florida man has been charged with murder in the death of his 6-week old daughter.
Marion County Sheriff's Office officials said Jeremy Murray told them he was sleeping with his daughter when she began kicking. He said he got up to take her to her bassinet and accidentally tripped and the baby fell from his arms. The child had multiple skull fractures when she was brought to the hospital on January 30th.
The Ocala Star Banner reports the baby's grandmother came home from work and found the baby unresponsive on the floor and called 911.
The medical examiner reported the baby's injuries were not consistent with Murray's statement and also detected signs of possible past bruises.
Murray was also charged Friday with aggravated child abuse.
