Woman in Serious Condition After Flipping Car on Thomasville Road [SLIDE SHOW]

According to Florida Highway Patrol

Tallahassee, Fla. -- At approximately 4:48p.m., Kelley Rayboun, 42, of Tallahassee, Fla., was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 319 (US 319) in the outside lane in the area of Horseshoe Plantation Rd. in a 2008 Honda Accord.

For unknown reasons, Rayboun swerved into the inside lane of US 319.

Rayboun then swerved into the center median and entered a retention pond, and continued southbound in the center median before traveling up an embankment in the median causing it to become airborne.

The Accord rotated clockwise and collided with the ditch in the median which caused it to overturn.

The Accord came to final rest on its roof facing southwest in the median of US 319.

Rayboun had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Tallahassee Fire Department.

The Florida Highway Patrol was assisted by the Leon County Sheriff's Office, Tallahassee Fire Department, and Leon County Emergency Medical Services.

Rayboun's injuries have been listed as serious; charges are pending.

Tallahassee, Fla. -- A single car accident sends a woman to the hospital this evening.

The crash occurred around 5 p.m. on Thomasville Rd. around Horseshoe Plantation Rd.

According to one eyewitness, the woman was traveling at a high speed in the southbound lane on Thomasville Rd., passing several cars, when she lost control and went airborne.

The vehicle then flipped over and landed upside down in an embankment. At that point, several eyewitnesses went to the woman's aid, and called 911.

The woman was transported by ambulance to the hospital; one first responder said she was conscious at that time, but did not indicate the extent of her injuries.
