A Flood Watch means that current and developing hydrometeorological conditions are such that there is a threat of flooding.
Precautionary / Protective Actions:
Review your emergency preparedness plan and update/replenish your emergency supply kit.Move away from rising water to higher ground.
Do not drive into flooded roadways or around a barricade. Twelve inches of water can float a car or small SUV and 18 inches of water can carry away large vehicles.
Do not walk through moving water. Six inches of moving water can make you fall.
