Flood Watch: Thursday Night Through Friday Night

A Flood Watch is in effect from 4/17/2014 9:56 AM EDT until further notice for Leon County.

A Flood Watch means that current and developing hydrometeorological conditions are such that there is a threat of flooding.

Precautionary / Protective Actions:

Review your emergency preparedness plan and update/replenish your emergency supply kit.Move away from rising water to higher ground.

Do not drive into flooded roadways or around a barricade. Twelve inches of water can float a car or small SUV and 18 inches of water can carry away large vehicles.

Do not walk through moving water. Six inches of moving water can make you fall.

Monitor weather conditons by visiting the National Weather Service website at http://weather.gov/tallahassee
