Zimmerman Agency Release: Florida Prepaid College Plan

What: Florida Prepaid has extended the deadline, for online applications only, to purchase a Florida Prepaid College Plan at this year’s plan prices.

Why: Florida Prepaid College Plans offer an easy and secure way for families to prepay the cost of higher education. These tax-free savings tools are financially guaranteed by the State of Florida, relieving concern for loss of investment. Families can select one of four tax-free plans, which cover tuition and most mandatory fees at Florida’s 12 state universities and 28 colleges. The plan’s value may also be transferred to out-of-state and private Florida colleges. Nearly one out of 10 Florida children from newborns to high school students has a Florida Prepaid College Plan.
