Former Florida High Star Raises Money for Kids in Need
Tallahassee, Florida- August 31, 2012
A former Florida High Football standout is giving back to the community in a big way.
Michael Gaines played football at Florida High and went onto a seven year NFL career.
This weekend, Gaines is launching the 7th annual Michael Gaines Foundation.
The foundation, which is collection donations throughout the Labor Day Weekend goes on to benefit programs that help with literacy, health and education and work with under-privileged youth throughout the community.
"The Michael Gaines Foundation is all about giving back to the community and the kids. Just to understand where I'm coming from, I'm from Tallahassee-born and raised-and I'm just trying to give back like people gave to me," says Michael Gaines.
