TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- Former TODAY meteorologist Janice Huff will be the featured speaker at the summer commencement at Florida State University.

Huff graduated from Florida State in 1982 and was the meteorologist for TODAY on the weekends for 16 years before leaving the show in 2012. She is currently the chief meteorologist at NBC 4 in New York and for New York Nightly News.

Huff was one of eight meteorologists to interview President Barack Obama in May when a new study focused on climate change was published.

The commencement begins at 9 a.m. on August 2 at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center.
