Thomasville, GA- "We're going to keep loving, keep caring, and keep looking out for these babies, you know, because kids can only get what you give them," said Gary Johnson, the founder of the Brotherhood of Love Ministry in Thomasville.
Johnson isn't letting anything get in his way of spreading holiday cheer this Christmas, especially to those who need it most.
"I just want everybody to just enjoy themselves," Johnson said. "We've got plenty food, plenty clothes, plenty toys and plenty of love."
Johnson and his wife were held at gunpoint during a home invasion and robbery back in November. He says the terrifying ordeal made him want to give back even more this Christmas.
"This minute right here, I have so much happiness inside of me, seeing these babies, and smiles on their face, you know, that's what it's about with us, you know, the kids," Johnson said.
Doris Hill, Johnson's wife added, "I know by us reaching out and touching these kids and stuff, it makes them happy."
The kids were happy indeed and were very grateful for their new toys and clothes.
"I really like it," said Jacorey O'Neal. "I got what I wanted for Christmas and I just want to wish everybody else, a happy, Merry Christmas, and happy New Year."
Johnson says Tuesday's event wouldn't have been possible without the generous donations from people in the community.
