Park App Offers Free Admission

A free app allowed free access to state parks in Florida on Monday.

Anyone with an Android or I-phone can download the feature at www.floridastateparks.org. If you added the app, admission to any one of Florida's state parks was free.

Features include GPS mapping, hiking trail distances, news advisories and social network photosharing.

"This is just an added feature that helps to share information more effectively," said Beth Weidner, park manager of Alfred B. Maclay Gardens state park in Tallahassee.
