Tallahassee, FL - Police continue to investigate the death of a man who was killed Wednesday near Apalachee Parkway and Magnolia Drive. Patrick Denson, a close friend of Alfred Daise says "I remember him from that smile from day one, when I first met him and every time I'd see him, there never was a dull moment, you know, he's always smiling."

Alfred Daise died from an apparent gunshot wound, according to the Tallahassee Police Department. He was 27 years old. Denson says "Tears came flowing, you know, it really really hurt me that he had lost his life." TPD originally responded to the area for a disturbance and later found a car parked the wrong way on Magnolia Drive with Daise's body inside. According to Denson, "he was close to friends, his parents and everything, so I know when they got the news it was a big shocker."

Denson says Daise was a hard working, dependable all around guy that was the first to help out a friend and loved to have fun and says "he wanted to own his own business. No matter what it was, he wanted to own it. If it was selling cars to selling houses."

Police are ruling his death a homicide. It's the city of Tallahassee's second of the year. Denson says "like he always told me, keep my head up. I'm going to keep smiling for him."

As of today, there is still no motive and no suspects have been named. If you have any information to help with this case, please call the Tallahassee Police Department at (850) 891-4200.
