The Georgia Department of Community Health says unvaccinated Americans traveling internationally usually catch it and bring it back putting others at risk.

Measles is highly contagious and can transmitted from someone coughing or sneezing near another person.

Some residents say getting vaccinated is the best way to stay protected.

"As a mom to be, safety is my first priority and that's why I agree with the state to get the measles shot for kids, because that's just something I want to avoid," said Danielle Allen.

Officials say possible complications from measles can include ear infection, pneumonia, and neurological complications and death.

why dont you just say exactly how many cases of measles actually occur now in Ga ? Are you aware that the USA measles vaccine does not protect against Euro measles? The Euro cases are ZAGREB measles and can only be stopped by Swiss Berna Institute Vax, for Edmonston strain.
