ATLANTA (AP) -- Federal officials say a Georgia woman pleaded guilty to stealing almost $200,000 in Social Security benefits over about two decades.

Authorities say 50-year-old Jennifer Wynn of Marietta admitted taking payments that were meant for her mother-in-law after the woman died in 1994.

Wynn kept the dead woman's bank account open and concealed the death by forging the woman's signature on checks.

Prosecutors say Wynn took $195,304 in government benefits in all through the scheme.

Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 13 in Atlanta.
