FRUITLAND, Fla. (AP) -- A little girl was found dead inside a septic tank behind a central Florida home.

Fruitland police say 2-year-old Marissa Daniels had been playing with other children Wednesday morning before she went missing. Marissa's parents and others had been helping friends move out of the home when the girl disappeared.

Police responded to the home, and a department K-9 quickly led officers to a small hole that turned out to be a broken septic tank lid. Public works employees called to the home were able to recover Marissa's body from the tank.

Police are treating the death as an accident. No charges have been filed.
