Grantham elected State Transportation Board chair

ATLANTA (AP) -- Augusta business owner Don Grantham has been elected chair of the State Transportation Board, which oversees the Georgia Department of Transportation.

The Augusta Chronicle reports Grantham previously served as vice chair and will replace outgoing Chairman Jay Shaw.

Grantham is a former member of the Augusta Commission. The 14 members of the State Transportation Board serve one-year terms.

Emily Dunn of Blue Ridge was elected vice chair.
