Tallahassee, FL -
Students may be out of school. But, at the Challenger Learning Center's Winter Break Camp in Tallahassee, they can still learn.
The science-centered camp gives kids a place to go during their winter break.
It also teaches kindergartners through eighth graders about things from electricity to robots, to the deep sea and dinosaurs.
Marketing Director Chelsea Bundschuh says, "We really like kids to be excited about learning. There's a lot of things in school that they have to learn. But, we're really able to focus on things that are really fun that are really engaging; and that really just kind of lift everybody spirits during the holiday break."
Kids can also spend their break at the Brogan Museum. The Brogan is hosting its Holiday Camp "All That" 2012. (All of the information on this camp can be found below.)
Parents, if you happen to have a holiday break as well, there are plenty of places where the whole family can participate. Such as the John G. Riley House Museum; the Goodwood Museum and Gardens; and go back in time at Mission San Luis.
Arnold Laboy at Mission San Luis says, "There's always something to do at Mission San Luis. It's a hidden gem in Tallahassee."
