Hardee Remains Supervisor of Elections in Madison County

Incumbent Thomas Hardee is a republican who was appointed by Governor Rick Scott last year.

His predecessor was removed from office after being arrested and charged with a misdemeanor for voter fraud.

Hardee was born and raised in Madison, FL.

His opponent, democrat Amy Stewart Kendrick, also grew up in Madison.

Kendrick has spent her career working in Madison county schools.

Hardee edged out Kendrick to keep the title of supervisor of elections.

"Ever since I got appointed December the 8th, I haven't looked behind me, I looked forward and so it'll be neat serving the folks of Madison," said Hardee.

Previously, Hardee worked in insurance and as a volunteer fire fighter. This will be his first elected term as supervisor of elections.
